If I became a legal nuse consultant how much could I get paid?

I have been a registered nurse for almost eight years and I’m trying to get some additional degrees and certifications. I have looked at getting my LNC. If I make the jump and get this degree how much could I make as a legal nuse consultant in salary or by the hour? Is this a good choice for me in my nursing career?

ANSWER:

You can expect to make anyway from $80 – $160 an hour. You can look at ads for the consulting and contract listings and the most it seems some people charge or are offered is $160 an hour. You can most likely expect to make an in the average zone and be willing to start out on the low end until you build experience in the legal nurse consultant field.

You should take a look at an association that can provide you direction and solid advice in your nursing career. If I were you I would contact some of the folks at: http://www.aalnc.org
