About the Job

Summary:
‘ Review and perform a critical analysis of medical records to provide information to the attorney/adjuster in relation to:
- Injury sustained by claimant.
- Causal relationship
- Appropriate treatment
- Pre-existing conditions
- Disability and permanent impairment
- Pain and suffering
- Future medical care expected

‘ Provide written reports that provides synopsis of:
- Clinical overview of treatment to date
- Identify potential missing records and
- Negotiation points for the attorney/adjuster

Responsibilities:
‘ Review and research medical issues with regard to injuries
‘ Provide written case assessments and analysis to attorneys/adjusters that are concise, clear and comprehensive
‘ Communicate with attorneys/adjusters to develop medical case management and causation defenses
‘ Participate in roundtable with attorneys/adjusters in the injury evaluation and pricing process

Qualifications:
‘ R.N.
‘ Minimum of five years of clinical experience, preferable with Emergency Room experience
‘ Legal nurse consultant experience
‘ Ability to multi-task and balance deadlines with multiple attorneys/adjusters in a fast paced environment
‘ Ability to work in small teams and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
‘ Strong computer skills
‘ Working knowledge of on-line and internet search capabilities
