Legal Nurse Consultant for Snell & Wilmer in Phoenix, Arizona
Job Description
We are currently seeking a Legal Nurse Consultant to assist attorneys with medical cases, such as medical malpractice or products liability. The successful candidate will be an R.N. with a 4-year degree and substantial, diverse, clinical experience, good organizational skills, and the ability to analyze medical files and provide clear information to non-medically trained personnel. Legal Nurse Consultant training and experience, and knowledge of expert witnesses are desirable but not required.
The Firm is seeking a full-time or part-time employee, not a contractor or vendor. Although some flexibility may be available in the future, in the short term, the employee must be available to work on-site, during normal business hours.
Sample position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Investigate medical claims, analyze medical files, prepare chronologies, perform medical research, and provide case evaluation and risk assessment to attorneys.
Assist with expert retention and evaluation, witness preparation and support, and general trial preparation.
Note: This position bills time to specific case matters. Incumbents are expected to account for and bill their time.
