The Infusion Nurse provides direct and indirect skilled nursing care to patients based on a modified primary nursing approach. Such provision of care includes, but is not limited to:
Patient assessment, clinical and environmental
Patient and caregiver teaching
Our nurses deliver a variety of specialized, clinical home infusion services. Qualified candidates will be willing to travel, have a current RN license in applicable state, and have excellent infusion skills. Home care and pediatric competencies are a plus. The Infusion Nurse is responsible for the following:
Delivers specialized clinical infusion nursing services to patients in their home or an alternate setting.
Performs initial/ongoing evaluation of client needs to assess care plan consistent with physician orders for treatments.
Participates in continuing quality improvement activities.
Will be visiting patients in the hospital for discharge home on complex cardiac therapies.
Will be performing infusion visits for patients in their homes for cardiac and other acute infusion therapies.
Position includes some evening and weekend on call duties.
Must have current infusion experience with critically ill cardiac patients
Acute and cardiac experience a plus
Ability to speak English and Spanish a plus
Must have a current California state RN license
Must be willing to travel throughout San Diego County.
Mileage is reimbursed door to door.

Job Qualifications:
Licensure as a Registered Nurse in state of California. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; B.S.N. preferred, or as required by state law. A minimum of two years of current experience in a specialty involving infusion therapy including patient assessment skills, venous access skills and emergency patient care. Previous specialized home health care experience recommended. CPR certification required; PICC certification desirable. Pediatric experience is recommended. Active professional affiliations and national certification in related clinical specialty desirable. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Must be able to assume a flexible work schedule.
Ability to speak English and Spanish a plus.
